Fun at a grant meeting! I had the privilege of starting a conversation with a wonderful 24 year old woman named Justine Apodaca. Justine was born with Cerebral Palsy and uses a RIfton Pacer to assist her with mobility. She got her BA from the Department of Communication and Journalism at UNM and is now the Communication Specialist for Atrisco Schools. She receives Developmental Disabilities Waiver services and says that her habilitation services have been cut in the past few years. Her parents started the Cerebral Palsy Parent Association (CPPA) that meets monthly at Carrie Tingley Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Keep and eye out for Justine!
